A solid four stars from our HR team

Migration from our old system went cleanly and the data quality gains showed within weeks. Some workflows took two attempts to configure the way we wanted.

The payroll connector approach actually works

We run payroll with local providers in five countries and were sceptical about the connector model. In practice it is the strength of the product: HR data is approved once in Sage People and lands with each payroll provider in their format, on their calendar. Payroll errors from stale HR data have almost disappeared.

Pros

One approved source of truth feeding five payrolls. New joiner in Amsterdam or Austin follows the same process. Absence localisation per country is properly done, including our German working time rules.

Cons

WX is fine for employees but the admin side has a genuine learning curve and our HR generalists needed more training than expected. Some translations in the German interface are literal rather than natural.

Big step up from our previous HRIS

Solid and dependable. The reporting is the best I have used in an HR product, the day to day admin ergonomics are middling.

Struggling to justify the ongoing cost

The gap between employee simplicity and admin complexity is the widest I have seen in an HR product, and we live on the wrong side of it.
