The dashboard tells me the truth daily

Two years in and the books are simply not a worry anymore. Transactions come in from the bank overnight, most match themselves, and the VAT return is checked rather than compiled.

Two of us use it daily without treading on each other. The three user limit on Standard is fine today and might pinch next year.

Payroll included sealed it for us

My accountant recommended it for the new digital income tax rules and the quarterly updates have been genuinely painless so far.

Works, with workarounds

The core is dependable. Beyond the core, features thin out quicker than the marketing suggests and the plan upgrades add up.

Bike shop books finally under control

Between the shop till, online sales and the workshop, our old system was chaos. Sage pulled it into one view and the stock alerts have stopped us running out of the parts we sell every week.

Inventory with reorder levels on the Plus plan. Square till payments reconcile against the daily bank deposits without manual matching. Being able to check the shop position from home on a Sunday.

Cons

Serial number tracking for bikes would be the dream, currently we track those in the till system instead.

Accountant fees down, accuracy up

Photographing receipts in the van between jobs means the paperwork mountain never forms in the first place. My other half calls it the marriage saver.

Dependable with rough corners

A year in and it does what we bought it for. A few workflow quirks and a price step after the offer period, but the VAT and invoicing side has been faultless.
