Happy apart from the invoice

The report designer rewards patience, we get exactly the numbers we want. Getting there took a course and some swearing.

Fast in experienced hands

The end of a long road

Our accountant would riot if we moved

The bespoke report designer built our exact board pack, penny for penny how the directors want it, and it runs itself every month now.

Fine software, tiring relationship

Fine software, tiring relationship

If you have deep stock or group needs it still earns its place. Our needs simplified and we are probably a cloud customer now who has not admitted it.

Construction ledgers with CIS that actually submits

Groundworks means retentions, applications and CIS every month of the year. With the CIS module added, deductions calculate on subcontractor invoices and the return goes to HMRC from the software. Retentions we still track manually, but the heavy compliance is handled.

Pros

CIS deductions and submissions built into the normal purchase workflow. Job costing per site keeps the quantity surveyor honest. Our accountant dials into the data rather than us running backups to town.

Cons

CIS is an extra charge on top of Standard which stings. The learning curve for our office administrator coming from a simpler product was a solid month.
